UCR School of Public Policy students, both undergraduate and graduate, participate in an internship during the course of their studies. As a professional school, we aim to make our students career ready by the time they graduate, and the internship experience is integral in exposing them to the profession of Public Policy.
Undergraduate students in particular benefit from the UCR School of Public Policy Internship Program, which was founded in 2014 by former Mayor of Riverside Ron Loveridge. The selective program has been matching high-achieving students with local government agencies, nonprofits, and private entities for hands-on work experience on policy issues impacting the Inland Southern California region.
