On Thursday, November 14, the School of Public Policy will be hosting the President of the California Community Colleges Trustees, Linda Wah. The seminar will delve into the importance of women involvement in politics.
The event will be held at the University of California, Riverside in Glen Mor K106/K108 on Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
As a longtime Pasadena City College trustee representing South Pasadena among other cities, Linda Wah has been named president of the California Community College Trustees statewide board. She also has more than 30 years of experience serving on numerous community boards, focusing on educational improvements, fair employment and fair pay issues for women, and awareness of Asian American and Pacific-Islander community issues.
“It is incredibly inspiring to see women in prestigious positions. I look forward to learning more about the involvement of women in politics as I hope to one day work in government,” said Arleth Aparicio Flores, a second year public policy student.
